  Piston Production Line The piston crown depends on the engine combustion chamber requirements. A sloped or near-sloped design helps reduce the contact area between the piston and high-temperature gases, ensuring even stress distribution. Most gasoline engines use sloped pistons. Some diesel engines, to meet the needs of air-fuel mixing and improve combustion efficiency while minimizing detonation, require the piston crown to have a more complex shape, with a certain depth of recess serving as part of the combustion chamber.

The function of the piston rings is to seal, prevent gas leakage, and prevent oil from entering the combustion chamber. The piston skirt is the lower part of the piston; its function is to maintain the vertical movement of the piston during repeated motion, which is the guiding part of the piston.
