Reasons for piston rod discoloration in the piston production line

The hydraulic transmission system of the piston in the production line is subject to high-temperature conditions, and the piston rod frequently contacts ultra-low-temperature natural environments at high temperatures. During maintenance, the non-dedicated gear oil of this well-known brand of excavator was replaced. Generally, in this case, the piston rod will fade within a few days of changing the finished oil.
There are three main reasons for the discoloration of piston rods in piston machine equipment on the piston production line:

In the entire electroplating process of the piston rod on the production line, due to uneven temperature control, cracks appear in the surface layer of the electroplating process layer in the later stages of work. Observing the surface of the piston rod with a high-power magnifying glass, irregular small cracks can be seen. Generally, when the gear oil temperature is too high, this often occurs in the upper part of the widely used bucket hydraulic cylinder.
If the piston rod of the piston cylinder on the production line is damaged by collision and not handled properly, it will endanger normal use and even make the hydraulic cylinder unable to work. The common recovery methods are to use local sharpening and polishing to repair minor scratches; on the other hand, serious scratches are repaired by welding and manual polishing.
The key reason for the bruising of the piston rod on the piston production line is that after the dust ring falls off in small pieces due to aging, it not only loses its anti-fouling function, but also accumulates a large amount of dust and cartridges at this time, immediately grinding the piston rod with the residue, causing the piston rod to be scratched, and the scar scratches the sealing gasket parts of the cylinder mouth, leading to serious exposure of the hydraulic cylinder.
As the guide block wears, the swing amount of the turntable will gradually increase. Within the allowable wear range of the slide rail, the swing amount in the vertical direction will be compensated by the gap between the top mounting lug of the pressurized hydraulic cylinder piston rod head and the turntable hydraulic cylinder support lug, and the resulting additional lateral interaction force will be borne by the outer side of the slide rails on both sides of the drill column.
